Teamwork pays off for B&W Appliances

What a change from Mondays game!  The B&W Appliances arrived in Ripley ready to play and enthusioastically welcomed the return of goalie Tyler Dahmer!

Ripley player Shawn raced down the field and attempted his first goal, but Tyler Dahmer caught the ball without batting an eyelid.  Shawn however was not to be stopped and within 3 minutes Ripley cheered over their first goal.  The second goal fell soon after.  B&W then swithced programs into team mode.  Demonstrating this first were Bradley, Jenny and Caleb as they worked their way up the field together for Bradley's first goal of the night.  Caleb demonstrated his skills and received passes, but shot wide each time.
Marlise Storey stepped up her skills to spoil a scoring chance by Shawn.  He was not to be stopped however and soon srprinted across the lawn to bring Ripley ahead 3-1.
Christopher Coady answered this by putting all of his energy into his right foot to score from the centre kick!!  The fans held their breath while the ball went back and forth between the teams.  Shawn managed to get another one in but was answered right away by Bradely Pickett, but Pickett missed by a hairs breadth.  Caleb McAllister showed great action and entertained with his footskills to trick the opposing team.  Brady Masur proficiently moved the ball across the field and past the defenders to get his first of the game.  Nice teamwork and awesome saves by Dahmer prevent further damage from Ripley and led B&W to their third goal by half-time.
Christopher Coady landed a penalty shot in, after the Ripley netminder touched the ball outside of the box to put B&W ahead for the first time of the match!!  Alyssa McAllister stepped up to play in net for a second time this season and fearlessly saved many shots, but eventually Ripley's Shawn put two more in.  The game continued in a seesaw match with parents cheering enthusiastically.
Bradley scored yet another to tie the game at 6 despite the obvious fatigue from running and the heat....the fans began to get nervous.  Who would score the next goal?
Great effort from Caleb McAllister, substitute player Kevin Coady and the the Brady Masur helped Christopher Coady score again before the whistle ended a fantastic game with a 7-6 victory for B&W TV and Applicances.  The coach congratulated the team on their ability to work together!! The teams shook hands and the B&W team rested with refreshing popsicles.
