Two games in and two wins recorded! Thanks going out to Mr. Pagnotto and Mr. Lynch for being volunteers.
Tuesday the team traveled to Walkerton to take on Mount Forest. It was a hard played first half with Mount Forest opening the scoring . The teams fought hard and Riley Cook put one in for the first of the night. Mount Forest responded with one more. With Jesse Nelson making attempts but found a hard defense and missed the goal by a narrow margin and most attempts. with a strong push and some excellent team work Riley Cook pushed it over the goal line and Jesse Lynch ran in to make sure it stayed in . The second half was an edge of the seat for most watching. The teams wanted the win and with many shots taking and some excellent work by both teams keepers, leaping Lynch pulled it out and got the final point of the game in the last minute of the game.
Wednesday took the team to Mildmay. The quick pace of the forwards brought the opening point by Riley Cook 2 minutes into the game. The Mildmay team answered with one past goalie Nikhil Deshpande . Not to be left out with great passing from Jesse Nelson bringing the ball down feild and Riley Cook sending a pass over to Chase Ambeau for the second of the night. Riley Cook found himself in another scoring opportunity and really used his head and got another passed the Mildmay goalie. With a scramble infront of the Mildmay net Jesse Nelson pushed the ball over and found Mathew Woodhall waiting to send it in for the forth of the game. The second half had both teams fighting hard but finding neither able to get it past the goalies or defense lines.
Excellent effort by all the teams.
