Great Goal Keeping From Both Teams as ReMax Win
Great goal keeping was the name of the game on Wednesday night with ReMax coming out on top 3 to 1
The game opened up with play going up and down the field with all chances being swarted by ReMax goal keeper Ethan Petrie and Crabby's goal keeper Georgia Tanner. Both made outstanding stops to keep their team in the game. It wasn't until about mid way that the Crabby Joe's team finally solved Petrie and took a 1 to nil game. Not to be undone, Big Blue battled back and equalized the score before the end of the half on an excellent passing play.
Half time saw a goal keeping change for both sides yet stellar goal keeping remained the story of this game. Just after the start of the second half the team in Orange came as close as they would all night to solving newly inserted Big Blue back stopper Jaydon Troke. The CJ team thought they had taken the lead only to see Troke dive across and punch the hart shot harmlessly to the side lines. A great stop at a key point of the game. From there the ReMax'ers seem to realize that they needed some offense and some persistent play around the Crabby Joe net yielded the go ahead goal mid way through the half. Adding an insurance goal on a wonderful passing play followed by a fantastic finish proved to be the last goal of the game.
Fans witnessed an exciting game with the final in doubt until late in the second half.
