June 2: Ripley United defuse Ripley Rockets

It was a perfect night for soccer in Ripley. Fields were in great shape, parents and players alike were ready for the first of two meetings of the Ripley teams. The game was very close into the dying minutes of the first half, thanks to excellent goaltending by the Rockets.
A cross from Annie to Tanner that was finished with a brilliant header into the back of the net allowed United to enter the second half with a slim 1-0 lead. From that point on it was a very disciplined game anchored by excellent positional play and solid defending by Wesley, Darren, Victor and Graeme that allowed United to build on their single goal by netting 4 more in the second half. Second half goals were scored by Jennelle, Liam, Taryn and Tanner.
June 9th is a bye week as United gets ready to host Colhoun Chiropractic at home on June 17th
