The Kincardine Crabby Joe's team had their work cut out for them when paired with the tough Ripley Green Acres group last week in the Kincardine Under 8 league.
The first half held a lot of back and forth play with some solid attempts at the net by Crabby player Jordan (#11). Green Acres opened the scoring but Crabby's Aiden (#22) successfully tied the game up off of a penalty shot kick that got by the vigilant GA goalie. Two more Green Acres goals had the fans on the edge of their seats until Crabby Joe's Connor (#19) scored just before the whistle blew for half-time.
Second half play was dominated by the Crabby team with Jordan (#11) scoring a well deserved goal after some impressive footwork and Connor (#19) busting through the GA defence for another. After a hard press to the Crabby Joe's net, the hard-working Green Acres team tied it up. It was anybody's game but as time was winding down to the last seconds, the winner was booted in by Crabby's Connor (#19), off a pass from Georgia.
Crabby victory 5-4. Good game kids!
