The freezer-like conditions last Wednesday evening didn’t cool the enthusiasm of the Crabby Joe’s Under 8 soccer team. They were blistering hot in their fourth of the season against Bruce County Railings.
Things started to sizzle when Jordan Moulton #11 got by the BCR net minder to open scoring early in the first half. Momentum was high and after an unsuccessful attempt at the BCR net by the offensive duo of Rylee Pawlikowski #3 and Jordon Moulton, Jordan took control of the ball to drop another one in for two. The first half held a lot of end to end play keeping the fans engaged despite the frigid temperatures.
Jordan surprised everyone by squeaking in yet another goal, giving the Crabby team a comfortable 3-0 lead. This was to be short-lived as the BCR group rallied and popped in two quick ones just before the whistle blew ending the half.
Second half play was dominated by Crabby Joe’s whose appetite for a win is never satisfied. Jordon Moulton was the BIG scorer with two more goals in the second half and a total of 5 for the night! Good offensive play by Georgia Tanner #5 who got the ball to the net several times but wasn’t able to break through the BCR wall. Crabby win 5-2. Good work team! See you Wednesday when matched against Coffee Culture.
