Books and Beans Undefeated

Congrats to the Books and Beans team as they celebrate another win. This time over Ripley. The first half started out slowly with Kincardine leading off with the kick. Excellent passes between midfielders Brady Masur, Ben Netzke and Alex Pande allowed strikers Gavin Reardon and Ethan Long several chances on net.
After several attempts Gavin placed a long kick deep into Ripley's net. Ethan was next to score with nice placement following a corner kick. Goal attempts were made by Dylan Wolfe and Rachit Sood. An unfortunate hand ball by a B&B defender resulted in a penalty kick for Ripley. Netminder Brydon Nikolic reached wide but unfortunalety the kick was out of his reach. The first half ended with Kincardine leading 2-1.
Books and Beans continued their domination during the second half. Victor Creighton took over in the net and Brydon moved forward to join the striker lineup. Despite his speed and hard work Brydon was denied at the Ripley end. Declan Mowle, Ben Netzke, Dawson Farrell and Dylan provided great defense and kept the ball clear from Kincardine's net for most of the game. Ripley was able to break through the defense to earn their second goal.
Gavin and Ethan earned a second goal each. Gavin provided his teammates Rachit and Davinil Joshi several crosses past the Ripley goalie, but neither were able to place it past him. Alex Pande made the play of the game when he made a beautifully placed World Cup style head ball right past Ripley's netminder to bring the Kincardine tally to 5.
Great play by all players. Teamwork and determination certainly have paid off!!
