Rules of the game (Kincardine District Minor Soccer)

Print Rules of the game
Here are the links to the OSA Rules of the game for our house and Lakeshore Loop teams

Our Timbits divisions follow basic rules of soccer, but are designed more to help our young strikers, defenders and keepers develop their skills, while at the same time introducing basic concepts of the game. No hands, no rough play, and similar.

For Our U8 and U10 House League here are the OSA Small Sided rules. Please note, Kincardine District Minor Soccer Club does use throw ins for this age level as opposed to the kick ins noted in the OSA rules.

For Lakeshore Loop games there are again alterations to the FIFA rules followed by OSA as there are changes to the number of players and field sizes for different ages involved with our U12 and up teams. Please see both the Lakeshore Loop Coach Manual for specifics.

Please note, that the above links are provided for information purposes, and are not directly maintained, quality control checked, or kept up to date by Kincardine District Minor Soccer Club. While every effort is made to keep our information up to date, situations may occur where changes have been made to the rules by the OSA, but not yet implemented by our club or other clubs involved in Lakeshore. If such a situation occurs we would ask you to please make note of the game during which the change was noted, as well as the teams involved and the referee's name, and forward that information to our head referee, Nathan Fohkens, to be investigated further. Allow time for the matter to be examined by our executive, who can then reach a determination of what action, if any, we need to take as a club in response. Remember as well that all referees, especially those officiating our house league games, are human. Mistakes can and will happen, which are beyond our control, but how we respond to those mistakes is entirely under your control.

Thanks, and have a great season.
