The Kincardine AMEC U14 Girls team followed up their first win of the year with a stellar team performance as the girls went on to a 3-0 victory over visiting Hanover. Sydney Hasson started off the scoring in the first half off a nice cross in front of the net. Jennelle Smeltzer continued the goal scoring off a well placed corner kick by Amber Howald. The defence of Jane Miller, Katie Franklin, Cassidy Murray and Bethan Killin foiled the Hanover advances. Kathleen Van Den Hogen played solid in goal, as did Rylee Evans and Lauren Andrews at forward and midfield. Sydney Hasson finished off the scoring, beating 3 Hanover players to the ball and placing a solid strike in the corner. Awesome effort from the whole team in a well deserved win.

The Kincardine AMEC came out firing tonight and pulled out their first victory of the season over Saugeen Shores by a score of 1-0. The offence had many chances in the first half, but a strong Saugeen goalie was not letting anything through. The Kincardine defence held strong and kept pushing the ball forward to the waiting midfield. The strong play continued in the second half until Rylee Evans, on a through ball from Amber Howald, made a precision pass to a waiting Rainor Kuz who made no mistake. The final whistle blew a few minutes later. Sydney Hasson had a strong game on forward, with Jane Miller, Katie Franklin and Cassidy Murray clogging up the middle on defence. Keep up the great work!

The Kincardine AMEC U14 Girls took to the road for a matchup against first place Mildmay. The girls came out aggressively, pushing the Mildmay team into some errors and drawing a penalty shot. Although the penalty missed, the girls pressed harder. Callup Annie Leppington got the team on the score sheet with a sweet touch strike to take a 1-0 lead at half. The Mildmay team put on the pressure and, in a mad scramble, managed to sneak one by the AMEC keeper. Kincardine continued to press, with Rainor Kuz hitting a crossbar, and Jennelle Smeltzer and Bethany Wilken narrowly missing a few other shots. Mildmay came back on a contraversial goal and took the match.
