Spectator Policy

To ensure the safety and integrity of games, all spectators are expected to observe the following rules. Kincardine Minor Soccer's playing fields for practices and games are provided by the Municipality of Kincardine, so any additional Municipality Rules found on their website or posted signage at the fields would apply.

Conduct & Behaviour

  • No verbal abuse, offensive language, or harassment directed at players, referees, or coaches
  • Spectators must not coach from the sidelines (coaching is reserved for registered team officials only)
  • No entering the field of play at any time, including at half time or after the game
  • With the exception of Timbits (U4, U5, U6) where parent assistance may be requested by a coach.

Referee-Related

  • Spectators must not approach or confront match officials before, during, or after the game
  • Referee decisions are final — dissent from spectators is not permitted

Bench Area

  • Only registered and carded team officials are permitted in the bench/technical area
  • No spectators behind the goals at any time

General Safety

  • Pets must be kept on a leash and away from the playing area
  • No alcohol on or near the field
  • Spectators who fail to comply may be asked to leave, and the game may be suspended or abandoned

Games

• Spectators must remain a minimum of 1 to 2 metres back from the sidelines at all times.

• Spectators must remain on the opposite side of the field from players and coaches.

  • With the exception of Timbits (U4, U5, U6) where spectator area is not large enough in Kincardine and then distance from the sideline should be followed.

Team officials are responsible for the conduct of their spectators. Failure to comply may result in the game being stopped.

Thank you for your cooperation.
