Important reminder to all Team Managers
Submitted By John Adams on Wednesday, May 25, 2011
I have been fielding a number of inquiries from teams regarding your articles and updates not reaching your team's email addresses.  In most cases, this is being caused by Spam filters stopping the notification emails from being forwarded.

In order to correct this situation, please advise all of your team parents to ensure that [email protected] is added to their approved sender list.  This can be accomplished by sending out an email to each individual from your home email, or by phoning each parent and advising them to add the admin address to the approved senders. YOU CAN NOT POST THE REQUEST AS A TEAM ARTICLE THROUGH THE WEBSITE AS THE FILTER WILL STOP THAT ONE UNTIL THE ADDRESS IS ADDED TO THE APPROVED LIST.

The procedure for this varies from internet provider to internet provider, so for details on how to add the address they should check their provider's website.

For Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or similar they need to log into their account, then check the SPAM folder, highlight one of the messages from kincardine soccer, then indicate the sender is approved.

Bruce Telecom and TNT21 have links on their home pages to access the SPAM filters, and they then follow the directions on screen.

No emails are sent by the site other than the ones linked to the teams the parents are involved with, and we do not sell or share those addressess at all.  At the end of the season we purge any addressess that have not been unsubscribed after the year end tournament.  The nature of the notification emails--auto generated and sent to a number of recipients at the same time--can trigger many spam filters.  The only way to correct this is to have the email address above added by the recipients to their approved sender lists.

If anyone continues to experience difficulties getting information into your team's hands, please call or email me to advise me of the specifics of the situation and we will figure it out together.

Thanks for all your hard work by the way.  Let's keep the season rolling!

Use your Head. Play Soccer!

Regards,
John F. Adams
