What age group will my child play in?
Ontario Soccer Age Classification for Players Based on their Year of Birth ... Players are placed in differently named "Ux" categories based on their BIRTH YEAR, not their birth date.
- The Club follows Ontario Soccer Associations direction for the the playing group based on a Player's Birth Year for each season.
- The Club historically has named playing groups as follows for Recreational teams: U4, U5, U6, U8, U10, U12, U15, U18 based on registration numbers and playing Divisions within Lake Shore League (LSL). Competitive Teams are made up of single birth year players only (ie. U10, U11, U12, U13, etc.)
- Starting at the U8 playing group, if registration numbers support, we try to have at least 1 Girls and 1 Mixed team per age group
- U8G, U8M, U10G, U10M, U12G, U12M, U15G, U15M, U18G, U18M
