Reminder about score reporting and team articles
Submitted By John Adams on Wednesday, May 23, 2012
Okay, so the season is now underway and there are a few points we need to remind everyone about.

1. Game scores--all teams from U8 and up need to email the final game score to [email protected] THE NIGHT OF THE GAME. If you want to enter the score yourself through the website, you need to be the home team. Login to your team site, and click through to the schedule and results menu under manage site content. Click on the game and you can then enter the score.

2. Entering your articles--again, from the control panel page, select manage site content, basic features, news article, then click the add article link on the top right of the news archive page and you can enter your article. YOU ARE NOT DONE WITH YOUR ARTICLE--you then need to email a copy of the article to the Kincardine News, Kincardine Independant and kincardinetimes.com. The email addresses for all of these outlets are on the home page in the alert box, but just in case, here they are again

Kincardine News- email
[email protected]

Kincardine Independent- email- [email protected]

Kincardine Times-- email [email protected]

as was brought up at the coaches meetings, you can simply subscribe each of these email addresses to your team's news articles so they are emailed a link to the story as soon as it is posted. If you do this, keep in mind that the word limit is 250 for the papers, but the website has no limit. The papers usually will not have the time to edit the article down, which is why I suggest direct emailing your brief summary, but you can post an article as large as you want on the website.

3.  Login information--if you get a designated team reporter or manager, please have them email me so I can add them to your team and provide them their own sign in id. All coaches, assistants, and managers that have provided emails to KDMSC should have login credentials already sent to the email address provided. If you have not seen yours, please check your spam filter, add [email protected] to your list of approved senders, and email me directly with your name, email address, and team affiliations and I will do some digging.

Let's keep this ball rolling guys.
John
