Way to go, Kincardine!! Drive 4UR Community raises over $4700!
Submitted By John Adams on Sunday, June 2, 2013
**Updated***It may have been a little overcast and cool, but it was a HOT time at the Davidson Centre on Saturday, June 1st. In our photo (From Left) KDMSC President Stuart Killin stands with Ian Montgomery of Montgomery Ford Sales and Gord Kemp, the coordinator of the Drive 4UR Community event. With the soccer pitches filled with players of all ages for our U4 league all the way up to our U20 squads, it was down to our parents, coaches, and players families to take a test drive in a brand new Ford vehicle to get $20 donated to the club with each test drive taken, thanks to Ford Canada.

We are pleased to report that more that 250 test drives were registered during the event, bringing in over $4700 from Ford Canada for the Club.
"We came up a little shy of the maximum donation of $6000, which was our goal, but overall I think we had a great event" remarked Gord Kemp, the coach coordinator for Kincardine Minor Soccer.
A huge thank you goes out to all our players and parents for participating in our first ever Soccer Day in Kincardine, we hope you enjoyed the day's activities, and based on feedback, we are considering a similar event to launch our season again next season.
The donation will be used in part to purchase some much needed equipment upgrades for our soccer facilities, but the bulk of the donation will be earmarked for the construction of the washroom/canteen/storage facilities that were proposed a number of years ago for the Bruce Avenue pitches.
Be sure to check out the photo and video galleries for the event, and thank you again for your help in making the event such a success.
