President's Message regarding House League EOYT
Submitted By John Adams on Tuesday, July 8, 2014
Every year Kincardine Soccer brings the House League season (U4-U10) to a close with an End Of Year Tournament. This year it was initially communicated that it would take place on the weekend of 16 &17th August. As you can imagine it takes a lot of organising with the key success factors being the right people with the right skills to pull it off.

When the EOYT schedules were released from Lakeshore in the last few weeks for the U12 to U20 Tournaments it became apparent that only Kincardine had the facilities to host the U12 soccer tournament and that there would be other Lakeshore EOYT Tournaments on the same date in different communities. The impact of this is that not only will we not have enough Referees for the day, but no Executive Staff will be available to run the Tournament as they are either running the Lakeshore Tournament, coaching their own teams at these tournaments or have to take their children to them. In short we don’t have the key success factors to make it happen, the right people with the right skills.

The Executive have looked at a number of alternative arrangements and dates (including a through week tournament) and have came to the conclusion that the weekend of 23 & 24th Aug is the best option.

I know this will be disappointing to some families as they have already made arrangements based on the original date and I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. Believe me if there was any way to make the 16/17th Aug work we would.

As with every House League EOYT, we need the support of the soccer community to make it run smoothly. So please be prepared to step forward and give up an hour or so to make this a success.

Yours Sincerely

Stuart Killin

President KDMSC
