Clarification about Kincardine Minor Soccer
Submitted By John Adams on Wednesday, May 6, 2015
Based on some recent posts and inquiries, I would like to clarify for everyone the following--Your Kincardine Minor Soccer Executive is fully responsible, in conjunction with the Ontario Soccer guidelines applicable to each age group, for the planning, scheduling, referees, year end tournament and awards for the following leagues--U4,U5,U6,U8, and U10. We are currently MEMBERS of the Lakeshore Loop league for U12 and up.

As members of Lakeshore we sit on and participate as a voting council member on their executive, again operating within the Ontario Soccer guidelines applicable to each age group, but DO NOT make unilateral decisions regarding those leagues. We are a voting member of the executive council that operates that league, and as such, DO NOT set the schedules, tournament dates, et all. We do provide referees for games in our area, as well as offering our facilities for year end tournaments, but the decisions on those matters, as well as the scheduling, are not DIRECTLY made by us as the executive. We vote in a manner consistent for what we feel is the best direction for our club and teams, but again--we are only one vote at the table, so at times the results of league decisions may not line up with how we have voted.
I hope this helps to clear up some misunderstandings that have been expressed in regards to the responsibilities and role that Kincardine Minor Soccer plays at each level.
