May Season Readiness Update
Submitted By John Adams on Saturday, May 4, 2019
Again, to keep everyone up to date on the status of our season, here is our monthly update.

1. Registration has now closed for the upcoming season.
2. We are in the process of putting together our teams. Coaches will be provided with their team lists at the May 11th Coach Meetings, and will then be contacting each player to advise them of what them they are on. If you have not heard from your coach by May 20th, please email [email protected] with your child's name and date of birth, and we will respond to your inquiry as soon as we can. No inquiries will be responded to prior to this date as we would like our coaches to contact the players and parents directly.

3. The Girls Division--Tuesday nights at 7:15 PM have been set aside for the girls division games. Practice times will be determined in the near future.

4. Field prep and cleanup day-Again, if anyone is available to help we would ask you attend the field prep and cleanup day on Sunday, May 12th. We know it is Mother's Day, but this day works the best for timing with our club and the municipality for field marking and cleaning. The more volunteers we have, the quicker the process will go. Please consider spending an hour or so helping to prepare our fields for another great season. If you can help, please email [email protected] with the subject line of 'Prep Day' so we can forward you the schedule for the day

5. Referees needed-If you are a soccer fan and would like to make money, we can use you. Kincardine Soccer is searching for referees for our upcoming season, and we will train you, clothe you, and pay you to join our team of officials. Please see the articles available on the website, or contact our Head Referee, Nathan Fohkens, for more details. This is a summer job that allows you to give back to your community as well as fill your wallet.

6. Remember to mark your calendars--The weekend of June 14th will be our Kickoff the Summer house league tournament, as well as our club wide photo day. The schedules will be posted at the start of the season for this weekend event.

7. Coaches Meetings--Again, our coaches meetings will be held on May 11th at the Davidson Center. This is the information session and equipment pick up day for all Kincardine Minor Soccer Coaches, so we look forward to seeing you there.

8. A reminder that the British Soccer Camps will be here the first week of July. The online registration link can be found on the home page. Again, the camp is run by Challenger Sports, not our club, so any inquires regarding fees, registration, etc., should be directed through their online portal, not the executive.

We look forward to seeing you all when the season launches Tuesday, May 21st.
