Assigning Games

  • Kincardine Minor Soccer creates the House League schedule for our U8 & U10, Mixed and Girls teams.  The schedule is based on how many teams we have from season to season.
    • We will look to using our younger small-sided certified referees for these games.
    • We coordinate the assigning of referees to games with our local Kincardine referees as first option.
    • We do our scheduling of referees to the games at the start of the season, thus an eligible referee needs to be graduated prior to the start of the season, otherwise we will have to try and work them in if and where there are open games.
      • In many cases referees develop conflicts or go on vacation, so the schedule is usually fluid and replacements are often needed to fill in.
  • Lake Shore League will release a schedule 1-2 weeks prior to the start of their season for U12, U15, U18 and Adult Mixed/Girls/Women/Men teams.  The schedule is based on how many teams they have from season to season.
    • We can only schedule referees for these games that are Entry Level certified.
    • We coordinate the assigning of referees to games with our local Kincardine referees as first option, but will go outside Kincardine to look for coverage from referees in surrounding towns if needed.
    • We do our scheduling of referees to the games at the start of the season, thus an eligible referee needs to be graduated prior to the start of the season, otherwise we will have to try and work them in if and where there are open games.
      • Lake Shore games can get rescheduled which results in re-assigning to accommodate a reschedule.
  • All referees need to renew with OSA from year to year in order to be eligible to referee each season.
    • Renewal needs to happen prior to season start to be included in the season scheduling.
