Background

  • Teams are organized and managed by parents/coaches that decide to follow this path and run the teams independently from standard programming, but still associated with Kincardine Minor Soccer. 
  • In Grassroots (U8-U12) team will plays games on Saturdays in a "Festival" format of 2 games.  Typically, because of our travel time, one late morning and one mid-afternoon.
  • Teams are only Club Supported.
  • Tryouts typically done for these teams
  • Games are scheduled (league, exhibition) with the intent of more a competitive play level
  • Travel is outside of Bruce-Grey counties to include game locations, which depends on which league the team enters for season play and what other centers enter teams in the same league & division KMS does: 
    • Southwest District League: Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Owen Sound, Rockwood, Blue Mountain, Fergus, Erin, Woolwich, Stratford, Puslinch, Saugeen Shores, Shelburne
    • Elgin Middlesex District League: London, Lucan, South Huron, St Marys, Goderich, Strathroy, Grand Bend
  • Teams are typically made up of single/same birth year players
    • Example: U12 for the 2025 season would be 2013 birth year players
  • Leagues have different divisions of competition:  Development or Target
