Club Code of Conduct
Codes of Conduct are an essential part of a Quality Soccer Provider. They outline the agreed standard of behaviour for a club's coaches, referees, parents and players. This code has been developed in consultation with other leading clubs in Ontario to benchmark best practices in sport. There are 3 important considerations:
- Gain compliance by having members agree to the code of conduct.
- Remind members of the code on a regular basis.
- KDMSC demonstrates due diligence and actively supports a Code of Conduct.
All incidents or allegations regarding violations of the KDMSC Code of Conduct will be treated with the confidentiality and privacy. All cases and/or reports of violations will be reviewed by the KDMSC Executive to determine merit, severity and recommended course of action. Disciplinary action may include any of the following:
- Education and coaching of the incident
- Education and coaching with parent present
- Verbal or written reprimand
- Verbal or written apology
- Removal from team(s)
- Suspension from competition(s)
- Involvement of authorities (Ontario Provincial Police)
- Qualifications revoked
The Executive reserves the right to suggest and enforce alternative forms of discipline as required.
