Expectations
These types of teams need an accredited Soccer Club within Ontario Soccer to enter accredited leagues and be insured. In the spirit of trying to support different soccer levels and teams, Kincardine Minor Soccer(KMS) is willing to support these teams.
KMS is not a Club run by paid professionals, it is run by a small number of volunteer parents trying to keep Kincardine House League teams, Lake Shore League teams going and often wearing multiple hats, being coaches to other teams and have children playing on other teams as well.
Ground rules:
- We expect the standards and existing rules of the Associations, Districts, Clubs and Leagues to be followed. (Before deciding to run a team, consider that the only way to support these teams is if everyone plays their role and follows the standards or we will not be able to support these teams. These teams are above and beyond the level of effort it takes to run the Club for its standard programming).
- Plan ahead (your emergency is not the Clubs. Everything happens with a cadence and there should not be any last minute needs).
- Contact with the Club is with the Club's email address [email protected] (as we will burn out people if there are all kinds of one off texts or emails to personal email addresses and phones).
- Documented below are roles and responsibilities setup for so all parties involved understand the many different aspects of being able to make it a reality to have teams like these in a small rural soccer Club run 100% by volunteers.
- This is a living page and we will update as we go, so check back often. If something comes into the KMS email that is new, we will add clarification or answers to this page for the benefits of others.
- The goal is to have covered as many scenarios as possible here, so you have all the answers at your fingertips when you need it.
- Kincardine Minor Soccer is not obligated to take on these teams as a part of Kincardine Minor Soccer.
- Teams are not obligated to play under Kincardine Minor Soccer (they can pursue other accredited Clubs within Ontario if desired).
Having a team associated with Kincardine Minor Soccer
Kincardine & District Minor Soccer Club (aka "Club", "KDMSC" or "KMS") has the final say on matters that impact the Club and it's Licensing with Canada Soccer & Ontario Soccer, as well as its required compliance with its associated district Elgin Middlesex Soccer Association (EMSA) and related to its partnership with the Municipality of Kincardine (MOK).
Areas where final decision is with the Club (but not an exhaustive list and the Club reserves the right to update or add to this list in the future):
- Staff selection (coach, assistant coach, team manager, etc.)
- Supporting any team that doesn't play within the standard programming of Kincardine House League (KHL) or Lake Shore League (LSL)
- Kincardine Soccer Field availability during the days and times worked out with the Municipality of Kincardine
- Local non-KHL or non-LSL games
- Practice days and times for non-KHL or non-LSL teams

For example if you have qty (10) U10 players and qty (2) rostered staff: your 2024 fees that KMS would be invoiced by EMSA and SWRSA would be: ~$690.

- EMSA/OSA Player Fee
- U10 $21 per rostered player
- U11 $24 per rostered player
- EMSA/OSA Coach/staff fee
