Question:
What does Player Registration with Kincardine Minor Soccer Club do?
Answer:
Player Registration allows KMS to know you have a player that would like to play in the season you have registered for and collect the Club Player Registration Fee.
Things that happen after you checkout and complete your Player Registration(s):
- You will receive an email confirmation of your registration and you can see it listed under "My Orders" in your KMS account
- Registration period stays open until it closes about a month or so before the start of the season (after long weekend in May).
- KMS will review reports of all the player registrations and assign players into the age groups that align to our programming (for example, which birth years go to which Under xx age group)
- KMS then determines how many teams per age group based on how many players have registered
- KMS will recruit volunteers to be on-field team staff for each team
- KMS will schedule and communicate tryout dates for Lake Shore League teams U12-U18
- KMS will begin creating draft team rosters for each of the house league teams based on the information collected from everyone's registrations (skills, player experiences, player availability, etc.)
- Tryouts for Lake Shore League teams U12-U18 will be conducted and players chosen for those teams
- KMS will set Lake Shore League & House League team rosters
- All players will then be rostered to a team in the system
- KMS will communicate to each team's staff of their team
- Team Staff season kickoff meeting will take place, where they will receive further information and is the first chance to pick practice times for their teams
- KMS will send a communication to parents & guardians of which team their player is on
- Team staffs will reach out to the parents & guardians with season information (practice days/times/location, etc.)
- Parents & Guardians will be able to view their team in the mobile app
- KMS will create House League schedules in the system and then they appear on the Club website and in the mobile App
- KMS will load Lake Shore League teams schedules into the system for those teams and then they will appear on the Club website and in the mobile App
- Practices & Games will begin!
Question: Does the Club Player Registration mean I'm all set?
Answer: Not quite, once we get through Step 10 above KMS has to registrar all players & teams/rosters with the District and Ontario Soccer before practices and games can commence. Once the District Registration is complete, you should receive an email from Ontario Soccer for each of your players confirming Ontario Soccer Membership for that Season (Outdoor or Indoor)
