Player Registration

  • SportsEngine Season Management Module
    • Two pools for Grassroots
      • One Pool for Age in Tier 1&2 ("MO Development"
      • One Pool for Age in Tier 3 ("MO")
    • When choosing a division for your team:
      • M = Mini (Mini Rec MO, Mini Development MO - Development)
      • Y = Youth (Youth Rec YR, Youth Competitive TC)
      • S = Senior (Senior Rec SR, Senior Competitive SC)
        •  If you are unsure of your division, please contact EMSA first for help
  • Player Registration is valid the day it is entered into OSCAR
  • Players can be registered to an Outdoor Season starting in October of the previous year
  • A player's assignment to their team expires December 31st, of the same year
  • New players must have their Date of Birth (DOB) checked up registration with the Club.  The burden of proof is on the player or parent.
  • Number of Teams Per Player
    • Grassroots (U4-U12)
      • 1 total
      • If playing up 1 age, Fast Track form required (signed by player, parent and technical director)
    • Youth (U13-U18)
      • 3 total, with only 1 being competitive
      • only 1 team in same Division
      • Leagues may further limit the above
    • Senior 
      • unlimited, only 1 competitive
      • Leagues may further limit the above
Team Registration
  • Team Naming Process
    • Club Name - U# - Gender - League - Division - Team Identifier
    • Examples
      • ABC Club U14F EMDSL DIV 1 - Spirits
      • ABC Club M Open WOSL DEV 2 - Panthers
  • Minimum and Maximum Players Registered
    • Youth Comp Outdoor 11-20 Players
      • 20 players may be allocated to the official OSCAR roster, but the maximum Game Day roster is 18
    • Youth Rec Outdoor 11-25 Players
    • Senior Comp & Rec Outdoor 11-25 Players
Coaching Staff Qualifications
  • Info may be found on EMSA website under Coach, Team Information
  • It is the responsibility of the Club to review coaches' qualifications on coach.ca before registering coaches to OSCAR
  • A person may not be registered as Head Coach for more than two competitive teams
  • Check league rules and regulations for more details
  • ID Cards
    • Who does NOT need them?
      • Club's House League players and coaches
      • Tier 3 players and coaches
    • When do I request them?
      • Only AFTER they have been registered into OSCAR
Permits and Insurance

  • Permits for Travel
    • Exhibition Games - travel to another district requires that you attach approved AHEG to ATF
  • Insurance
    • May 1 to April 30 each year
    • Ontario Soccer will starting accepting new applications mid-April
